MILESTONE PROJECTS

Object Attachment MONOGRAM LOGO AND SUFACE DESIGN TESSELATION While I was making the tessellation design I wasn’t sure which order to place the colours so I made two versions with the colours flipped to see. I ended up going with the one with a white background because the I liked how it can make the ‘S’ look like an odd shadow or a wave.   INITIALS LOGO CASTLE PROJECT   For this project, I used a simplistic design for the castle, inspired by one of my favourite games, Monument Valley. The game typically does not involve cylinders in the way I have placed them because the levels usually need flat surfaces for gameplay and puzzle-solving. So I found it hard to make the castle look inspired by Monument Valley while also incorporating most of the shapes and commands we learned in class, but I feel like my choice of a soft, simple colour palette helped.

3D Printed 'Attachment': Object Selection & IDEATION

Image
I chose to base my 3D printed attachment off of my headphones. When I decided to focus on attachments for my headphones. I knew that I needed to figure out a way to make the attachments be able to stick on but also be removable in order to interchange designs. So I came up with this idea of just making a piece that will just clip on and off. Each attachment will have its own clip attched and printed with in theory.

Out of all my sketches, I personally enjoy numbers 4, 6, and 8, for different reasons. I like number 4 because of the stark contrast between between the large, bold A and the smaller, differently styled S.  on the other hand, I like number 6 because the design mimics a paintbrush (A), leaving a trail of paint (S), making it not only show my initials but also a reference to artistic intrests. Finally, number 8 appeals to me just because the overall design seems elegant and simple.
